 These
unique Alaska vacation rentals are located on the North end of Pennock
Island ½ mile across Tongass Narrows from downtown Ketchikan, Alaska.
A 2 bedroom home and a 3 bedroom home are situated on three acres of wooded beach
property and can only be accessed by boat. You may access the home's private dock
with a rental
boat or by utilizing the local Water Taxi service. The two-bedroom home offers
a quiet relaxing environment, a private dock, and stunning views of Ketchikan's
spectacular waterfront.
 These
vacation rentals make for an ideal getaway, without being too far from the action.
A five-minute boat ride across the narrows will put you in downtown Ketchikan.
There are many convenient places to moor your boat in Ketchikan. Most moorage
locations are located within one block of shopping centers, restaurants, grocery
stores, movie rentals, historical attractions, museums, and art galleries.
 Charter
fishing guests can depart daily for their Alaska fishing experience from the home's
private float. Either rent
a boat and enjoy the many nearby fishing and crabbing locations, or take a
guided fishing charter.
Many
guests opt to go charter fishing for one or more days, and then spend the remainder
of their Alaska fishing trip in the rental
boat fishing on their own.
Upon
Arrival
All guests will be picked up at Ketchikan International Airport
by Rick, or the local Water Taxi service. Upon pickup you will be transported
directly to our private dock. Once you have arrived we will orientate you on the
house, and property. We will also be happy to point out the location of open moorage
stalls, the fish processing facility, grocery stores, tackle shops, and local
restaurants.
Rental boat clients will be orientated on the boat's safety
and fishing equipment.  Water
Taxi Service
A
local Water Taxi service is available to and from downtown Ketchikan. This can
be useful for guests who decide to take a day off from fishing. The diehards can
take the rental boats out fishing, while their friends can sleep in, and catch
a taxi into town.
Self
Guided Guests
Self guided anglers can rent a boat and enjoy the many nearby
fishing and crabbing locations. Many guests opt to go charter fishing for one
or more days, and then spend the remainder of their Alaska fishing trip in the
rental boat fishing on their own. By starting out with a guided fishing charter
guests get a chance to learn some fishing techniques before trying it on their
own. Fish
Processing
Professional fish processing is located on the Ketchikan side
of Tongass Narrows. Drop your fish off each day and have it cleaned, filleted,
frozen, and vacuumed packed. Upon departure you can take your catch with you,
or arrange to have it shipped to your door via Fed Ex. For those that would like
to process their own fish limited freezer space is available. Cook
Your Catch
In addition to a full kitchen each house comes with a gas grill,
and a crab cooker. A little Chief Smoker can also be made available. Relax on
the deck overlooking the water while cooking your catch on the grill.
